At Miner Elementary and Ludlow Taylor Elementary School in Northeast DC, students are up and moving … thanks to Zumba Kids! Both schools are longtime partners in our Motion Express outreach program (which brings free dance education to DC schools), but the Zumba Kids option is brand-new this year. And the demand is high. So high that the Miner Elementary classes now have a waiting list!

(We also provided a demo class at Maury Elementary’s Family Fitness Night, and the school staff and activities coordinator got hooked on Zumba Kids too!)

Are you just a bit too old for Zumba Kids? Never fear!

JOMDC has the most diverse class offerings around. We don’t just love to jazz we love to MOVE. JOMDC provides both traditional Zumba and Zumba Gold for senior dancers. These days, our faculty has even started inventing their own brand of dance fitness classes like ASA! with Akosua Akoto and Motown Move with Maverick Lemons. The kids are in on the action too. This past summer, our Youth Dance Ensemble and Step Ahead program youth danced for the First Lady’s Reach Higher Initiative at the US Department of Education. (Needless to say, we are huge fans of the First Lady’s “Let’s Move” campaign!)
