FESTIVITIES START FRIDAY, MAY 12 AND KEEP GOING THROUGH SUNDAY!

Join us for to celebrate National Tap Dance Day and experience the rhythms of our vibrant DC tap community! In partnership with the American Embassy of Dance, Joy of Motion kicks off its first annual celebration of tap dance. We have a full weekend of events featuring workshops, performances, and jams with greats of the local tap dance scene. People who love watching tap dance and tap dancers of all levels are welcome and encouraged to come celebrate.

TAP DANCE DAY CELEBRATION PERFORMANCE FEATURING SOLES OF STEEL

Joy of Motion’s electrifying youth tap company, Soles of Steel, headlines this evening full of incredible DC-area tap groups at our Friendship Heights location in the Jack Guidone Theater. Featuring performances by Sundays on Tap, Capitol Tap and other local tap dance companies, as well as Soles of Steel, every performance will have you dancing in your seats!

This performance is presented by Joy of Motion’s Performance Program in partnership with the American Embassy of Dance.
