Start Your Bidding! Our Online Auction Has Begun

You best have your party hat (and shoes!) ready … because the Annual Dance Party Gala is right around the corner. Proceeds benefit our Project Motion Community Outreach Programs, so we will be rocking out for an awesome cause on Saturday, April 27.

In the meantime, our online auction is now up and running. Here is a quick overview: as you peruse the 100+ items, you will notice that some are available for online bidding only, some will only be available at the Gala, and a few will be up for grabs in both locales. So plan your bidding wisely.

And remember: the online auction closes on Wednesday, April 24.

You can browse the items at your leisure, but here are just a few highlights:

The auction fun continues at our Annual Dance Party Gala on Saturday, April 27.

Wine Basket: 11 Fine Wines From Around the World: Featuring two whites and nine reds, including a 2003 French Syrah, this is one delicious basket. We also imagine that it will be a popular basket, so this one is a “live only” item. Two more wine baskets will be there for the taking, so options abound.

$150 Gift Card to Range Restaurant: We have 20+ gift cards to great local restaurants, and bidding starts at one-third of their value. So this category is packed with good deals. I happen to mention this item because Range has a Top Chef finalist at the helm and features both a pasta bar and a bakery.

One-Year Membership to Dance/USA: Speaking of good deals, here is a great one for a local dance company. Dance/USA, the national voice for the professional field of dance, has donated a one-year membership for the 2013/2014 season.

Behind the Scenes Tour of ABC7 News: How neat is this? You and five buddies can snag a behind-the-scenes experience at ABC7/WJLA-TV & News Channel 8, with a newsroom, control room, and weather center tour, plus a chat with Main Anchor Leon Harris. Oh, and you can watch a live broadcast.

Last, but definitely not least, make sure to visit our Staff Sensations category. Several Joy of Motion Dance Center faculty members are offering one-on-one lessons, ideal for perfecting your moves, and these have been known to go quickly.

Happy perusing!
