WHAT IT IS
Dance Project: Regional Artists is a choreography showcase presented by Joy of Motion Dance Center, as a platform for innovative dance. Dance Project: Regional Artists is open to all adult choreographers in the Greater Washington DC-Metropolitan area.
ELIGIBILITY
All choreographers and performers must be 18 years or older. One work per choreographer. Any style of dance that can be performed on a marley floor, 2-8 minutes in length. Please note, choreographers below the age of 18 should apply for Dance Project: Emerging Voices.
TIMELINE
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Complete online submission form below by Friday, December 27, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. DEADLINE EXTENDED! APPLY BY JANUARY 7!
PERFORMANCE: Saturday, January 25, 2020, 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 26, 2020, 7:00 p.m. at The Jack Guidone Theater (5207 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20015). Please note that the stage at the Jack is approximately 35’x35′, with no legs or wing space.
**Notification of the selection panel’s decision will be e-mailed no later than early January.**
EXPECTATIONS

Artist’s Statement (500 words or less) and video submission of the piece you intend to present. 2-8 minutes in length.

Clear concise statement of artist’s identity and work.

Video should be of good quality, well-edited.

Videos and applications should be submitted via the form below.

Videos can be submitted by shared YouTube private link, Vimeo, private Google Drive share, dropbox, or other sharing site links.
