This is a special announcement for anyone who’s been dying to take ASA! Starting in January, a brand new ASA! Core and Stretch Boot Camp enrollment class will take place on Sundays, 12:00pm – 1:00pm at Atlas!
This core training class is more than just crunches and sit ups. You’ll be strengthening your core in a fun and exciting way! Akosua is a personal trainer, so come get a fitness training session (without the crazy price tag)! Enrollment classes are an ideal way for dancers who are new to movement to learn dance basics. You’ll learn the precise techniques to get into postures without injury.
WHAT IS ASA!?
It’s like the African dance version of Zumba® but with more winding and targeted aerobic training.
ASA! is an African dance fitness program which focuses on music, dance, energy, and endurance. This is the class for you if you want to workout and despise the gym. Akosua Akoto created ASA! to target all muscle groups, particularly core/stabilizing muscle groups. ASA! allows participants to improve cardiovascular capacity, burn calories, tone, and most importantly HAVE FUN! Akosua’s workout program stems from over 17 years of professional dance and choreography experience, adding to the creativity and versatility of the class.
