At Joy of Motion, we believe that Dance is for Everyone. Whether today is the first step in your dance journey or if you’re an experienced mover looking for a dance home, we’ve saved a spot in class for you. Our talented teaching artists motivate youth and adult students and challenge them in our supportive, judgment-free classes for youth and adults. Our classes can be broken down into several different level designations. Use this guide to help find the best level for you or your dancer!
Classes are for students who are true beginners. No prior dance experience is necessary!
Classes are for students who have taken Intro I or for dancers with experience in a similar style.
Community classes, or classes with no level designation, are for students with some experience in a style and these classes appeal to the vast majority of our drop in students. Typically, students will have one or more years of experience for classes in a genre/style like African, Ballet, Contemporary, Flamenco, Jazz, Modern. Students in Dance Fitness classes do not need any experience to sign up! The pace and difficulty will vary from class to class and descriptions will be added by the instructors soon! Formerly called All Levels/Beginner/Advanced Beginner level.
