Our farewell party to former Executive/Artistic Director Douglas Yeuell was perfect. We sold out the Pepco Gallery (a great space for parties!) and toasted with bubbly. We saw faculty (old and new), students (old and new), and workstudy (old and new!) all there to share a memory about Doug. We presented Doug with a gorgeous glass trophy denoting his 25 plus years of service to the organization and he cried a little. Then, Helen Hayes led us in a community dance. We all cried a little after that.

PS: Even though Doug no longer works for JOMDC he’s still with us inside the Atlas Performing Arts Center. We still get to see him every day and it’s made this epic transition so much easier.
