The Art of Slow Dancing
with Laurie Anderson
Sunday, March 20, 2005, 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Bethesda
$20 per single or $35 per couple
All levels welcome.  For ages 18 and above.
To register, please call (301) 986-0016.

Take slow dancing beyond the hug and waddle – be rhythmic, sensual, and confident! This workshop will introduce a variety of movements, direction changes, and rhythm changes to help participants access the art of expressing romantic ballads and slow songs. Break up that stiff and mechanical "block of wood" body so you can relax and actually enjoy the music. Whether it’s the first dance at your wedding or a celebration you are attending, learn how to look great on the dance floor. This workshop is best done with a partner, but it is not mandatory. Participants preparing for springtime nuptials are welcome to bring their “first dance” music to work with.
