Our performance classes are offered each semester in various dance disciplines as an opportunity for the adult
student to experience the process and thrill of performing.
Performance classes culminate in a showcase performance at the
end of the semester.

Level: Beginning I Belly Dance and above
This class will feature the popular Indian film dance style that draws on folk and traditional elements as well as MTV and Arabic dance. This new choreography promises high spirited hip swinging fun for the whole village. All students are required to attend class, be prompt and demonstrate a command of the choreography in order to perform. Students must purchase or create their own costuming according to teacher guidelines. All efforts will be made to keep costuming expenses affordable. This class will culminate in a showcase performance for friends, family and the community on Saturday,

Broadway Jazz Performance Class

Level: Beginning II Jazz and above
This performance class will bring you one step closer to the big time. Participants will learn a complete performance piece from a selected Broadway musical. Emphasis will be placed on creating a piece in the Bob Fosse style of choreography. All students are required to attend class, be prompt and demonstrate a command of the choreography in order to perform. Students must purchase or create their own costuming according to teacher guidelines. All efforts will be made to keep costuming expenses affordable. This class will culminate in a showcase performance for friends, family and the community on Saturday,

Egyptian
Cane Performance Class

Level: Beginning I Belly Dance and above
The tradition of dancing with a long stick may date back to the time of the Pharaohs. In Egyptian folklore, the women's version of the dance is playful and flirtatious. It also provides an opportunity to show off skills, such as the ability to balance the cane while executing precise hip isolations. This all new choreography will include traditional steps, lively expression, and challenging technique.
All students are required to attend class, be prompt and demonstrate a command of the choreography in order to perform. Students must purchase or create their own costuming according to teacher guidelines. All efforts will be made to keep costuming expenses affordable. Hip Hop Performance Class

Explore the fundamentals of hip hop in a performance class that fuses hip hop basics with influences of jazz while combining acrobatics and a little booty shaking. This class offers a great opportunity to strengthen performance quality and stage presence. All students are required to attend class, be prompt and demonstrate a command of the choreography in order to perform. Jazz Performance Class

Level: Beginning II Jazz and above
Jazz is an exciting and dynamic dance form full of rhythm,
syncopation, passion and life.
This performance class will bring the energy of jazz
to the stage. Steeped
in the rhythm of America, jazz, a true American art form, brings energy and
life to all those who dance it.
Students will experience the development of a
full-length jazz performance piece from start to finish
focusing on classic jazz and blues as well as some elements
of jazz improvisation.
All
students are required to attend class, be prompt and
participate on a regular basis in order to perform. Students
must purchase or create their own costuming according to
teacher guidelines. All efforts will be made to keep

Street Jazz Performance Class

Level: Intermediate Street Jazz and above
Maximum of 14 students.
Take your dancing to new levels in this action-packed
performance class. Students will learn original choreography
in a new work by Mr. Johnson. Choreography will center
around funk/hip-hop and include some jazz and modern.
Students are required to have at least 3 years of training in
funk/hip-hop and jazz. Choreography will be taught on an
intermediate level and up! Please consult with instructor
prior to enrollment. All students are required to attend
class, be prompt and participate on a regular basis in order
to perform. Students must purchase their own costuming
according to teacher guidelines. All efforts will be made to
keep costuming expenses affordable. This class will
culminate in a showcase performance for friends, family and
the community on Saturday, December 17 at 8:00 p.m., Sunday
