Si Drennan

Si Drennan was born into a military family that moved often. Her 
experiences in various countries added to her love of all kinds of dance. 
She officially began dancing at 14 in Fairfax, Virginia and began 
co-teaching at the age of 15. She has taught and taken dance in Texas, 
Virginia, California, Georgia, Spain, Germany, and Ireland. After graduating 
college at James Madison University in 1997 she joined the US Air Force. 
During her time as a linguist she served as captain of the US Air Force 
Dance Team in Monterey, CA and taught for various dance companies. Through 
dance she discovered Pilates in 1999 and has wanted to become a certified 
instructor ever since. Pilates showed her a whole new way of thinking, 
controlling, strengthening, and protecting her body. She currently studies 
under Romana Kryzanowska and her daughter Sari Mejia Santos in New York 
City, and under Michael Rooks and Andrea Burkholder at Pure Joe Studios in 
Washington DC and Reston, VA.
