Sarah Mikels

Sarah Mikels is currently a dancer in the Washington, D.C. area and has been teaching for almost 10 years. Sarah received her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the University of Tennessee, where she was a member of the 2007 UDA National Champion University of Tennessee Dance Team from 2004-2006.

Sarah has studied with Debbie Allen, John Crutchman, Ray Leeper, Tina Caspary-Cyphert, Doug Caldwell, Napoleon and Tabitha D’Umo, and has been a scholarship finalist at West Coast Dance Explosion and Tremaine dance conventions.

Sarah’s training includes ballet, contemporary jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and modern. Sarah also teaches and choreographs for nationally competitive teams in the Southeast. Sarah was a principal with Pointe West Dance Company in Tennessee.

Currently, Sarah is a member of the X-Faction Dance Company. Sarah is enthusiastic about teaching for Joy of Motion and continuing to grow as a performer.
