Quynn
Johnson is a professional Tap dancer, instructor, and choreographer where she
began her dance training in
Flint
,
Michigan
under the instruction of Alfred “Bruce” Bradley, Sheila Miller- Graham, and
Charlene Banks. As a tap dancer, she has had the opportunity to perform at the
National Tap Dance Day in
New York
and at many Tap dance festivals in the country. Currently Quynn instructs and
choreographs for various dance studios in the
Washington
,
DC
metropolitan area where her choreography has been showcased on Showtime at the
Apollo as well as many festivals and competitions along the east coast. Quynn is
a graduate of
Howard
University
in
Washington
,
DC
where she obtained a Bachelor Degree in Health Management. Upon her entry into
Howard University Quynn began to study West African Dance and Culture. This has
enabled her to incorporate West African rhythms and movement into her love for
tap dance. Quynn joins the Joy of Motion staff as the Outreach Coordinator for
the Motion Express Education and Outreach Program.
