
Miyako Nitadori
Miyako Nitadori studied the methodology of the Royal Academy of Dancing at Kimura Izumi Ballet Academy in Japan. There she obtained the title of ARAD (Advanced Royal Academy of Dancing) in 1994. While attending college in Japan she studied many forms of dance such as jazz, tap, ballet, modern and Japanese dance. After working with the Japan Ballet Association and other dance groups, she came to the DC metropolitan area and has worked for Dana Tai Soon Burgess & Company and has taught ballet and modern dance in the area since 1999. Ms. Nitadori performed a lead role of the 2003 and 2004 national tours of Burgess' Nightingale, as well as in the international tour of Tracings. Ms. Nitadori was recognized as the Outstanding Individual Performer from the Annual Metro D.C. Dance Awards, 2003. Miyako is also a nationally certified massage therapist.
