Matt Steffens received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia with a double major in Theater and Government. He has been doing musical theater since he was young and continues to pursue it throughout the Washington, D.C. area. Mr. Steffens has been dancing with Jam Crew, Joy of Motion Dance Center’s resident hip hop company, since 1999.  He has performed in fashion shows, several local music videos, worked with the D.A.R.E.® dance program, and has been certified as an Actor/Combatant by the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD).  He also serves as an adjudicator for the Virginia High School League theater competitions.  Having played sports most of his life, his eclectic style integrates athleticism into many styles of dance.  Mr. Steffens is a production manager for an Alexandria, VA based advertising firm that specializes in corporate and political advertising for TV and radio. While most of his work is in film, his passion lies with live theater and dance. Mr. Steffens currently teaches jazz and street jam at Joy of Motion Dance Center and cardio kickboxing and hip-hop at Gold's Gym in South Arlington, VA.
