Marta Vizueta Bohorquez is a dynamic and engaging belly dance artist and sought-after instructor in the D.C. area. Highly noted for her
musical interpretation, elegance, and technique, her repertoire consists of Egyptian/oriental style, tribal, and fusion belly dance.
She approaches teaching from a holistic perspective, focusing on the development of technique, conditioning, musical interpretation, and
deep explorations of historical and cultural contexts of the dance. As a doula/labor assistant, she also brings her knowledge of women's
health into her teaching.  She is currently Level 2 certified from the Suhaila Salimpour School of Dance (one of the most prestigious and
rigorous schools in the country), has obtained an American Tribal Style (ATS) teacher certification from Fat Chance Belly Dance, and
completed other teacher  training and master courses with acclaimed instructors and artists. Apart from her continued belly dance
concentration, she is also a dedicated flamenco student traveling to Spain yearly to continue her training.  Marta is the original founder
and former co-director of DCTribal, a  regional educational network of professional tribal dancers, she is a founding Sahara Dance tribal
