Kaylen Ratto

Kaylen Ratto was born in Southern California and trained at the Lauridsen Ballet 
Centre in Torrance, CA for 11 years. She attended summer sessions with American 
Ballet Theatre, Joffrey Ballet, and Mid-Columbia Ballet Theatre. While attending 
the University of California, Irvine as a dance major and education minor, she has 
had the great privilege of doing works by George Balanchine, Martha Graham, Donald 
McKayle, and most recently, William Forsythe. Before graduating in December, she 
was chair of Bare Bones Dance Theater and coordinator of the Peer Academic Advisors 
for all of UCI. She was also on faculty of at Lauridsen Ballet Centre for five 
years and recently held an internship at Americans for the Arts in Washington, DC. 
She is currently teaching at Joy of Motion and Dance Institute of Washington, where 
she is also a Dance Education Outreach Instructor.
