Jennifer Stimmel 

Jen Stimmel graduated from The George Washington University with a B.A. Honors in Dance and a B.A. in Anthropology.  Originally from Pennsylvania, Jen has studied many genres of dance, including tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, flamenco, improvisation, contact improvisation, and modern dance.  She now focuses on rhythm tap and postmodern techniques.  She has studied with instructors such as Mike Minery, Gil Stroming, Savion Glover, and Jeannie Hill (tap); Billie Siegenfeld and Roni Koresh (jazz); and Maida Withers, Dana Tai Soon Burgess, and Anthony Gongora (modern).  At GWU, Jen danced for such choreographers as Dawn Stoppiello of Troika Ranch (NYC), Natalya Kasparova ( Russia ), and Alexander Gish (NYC).  She also received the Nancy Dyers Johnson award for choreography.  Jen has performed throughout the Metro DC area at venues such as The Kennedy Center, The Lincoln Theatre, Joy of Motion’s Jack Guidone Theatre, and Dance Place .  She has also danced with local companies Clancyworks (Adrienne Clancy) and Daniel Burkholder/The Playground.  Currently, Jen is on staff as Assistant Studio Manager at Joy of Motion, Bethesda .
