Ilsa Bush

Ilsa Bush started her dance training in the Cecchetti method with Mary Corbett Burns of Massachusetts and Margaret Craske of New York and went on to study with E. Virginia Williams in Boston and Kelly Brown in Arizona. She studied the Graham technique with Kathleen Hinney and jazz with Gary Naylor. Ms. Bush has performed with the New England Civic Ballet, the Boston Opera Group, the Tufts Arena Theatre, and the Harvard Jazz Dance Workshop. Ms. Bush has taught ballet to both adults and children in the Phoenix , AZ , and Washington , DC areas. In addition to being on the faculty at Joy of Motion Dance Center, she teaches ballet at George Washington University and dance appreciation at George Mason University . She has been a guest teacher for the Georgetown University Dance Company, which has performed her choreography, for the hip hop company, Jam Crew, and for the contemporary ClancyWorks Dance Company. In her non-dancing life, she practiced corporate and banking law, writes and edits grant proposals, and volunteers with various civic groups.
