Elisabeth Schreiber
Cardio Kickboxing
A
native of Washington, D.C., Elisabeth Schreiber began dancing at local studios
at the age of five, and joined the Joy of Motion Dance Center community during
high school, focusing on jazz, ballet, and modern dance. The theme of
movement continued, taking her to Connecticut, where she earned her B.A. in
Romance Literatures from Wesleyan University.
During that period, Ms. Schreiber studied in Spain and Italy,
concentrating academically on regional film and theatre. Throughout her
university career, she continued to pursue dance, both in and out of the D.C.
area. During the last decade at JOM, Ms. Schreiber has explored movement
beyond dance, to include yoga, Pilates, kickboxing and body sculpture, and has
assisted the Dupont Circle studio as a member of the work-study staff.
After peaking her interestes as a student of JOM’s fitness classes, she now
teaches body sculpture, cardio kickboxing, dance aerobics, stretch and Spinning®
at a variety of area locations, while also devoting energy to personal training.
She holds certifications with the American Council on Exercise, Mad Dogg
Athletics, Inc., BOSU Integrated Balance Training and the American Red Cross.
