David Norton

David has performed and taught workshops at numerous political, private, and corporate events. Clients have included the Fairmont Hotel Group, the Army / Navy Country Club, Professionals in the City, and Things To Do DC. He has also taught at several clubs, including Lulu’s and Club 5. David taught at the French Embassy for their New Years Eve 2006 gala as well.

His performance history includes dancing at the premier of “Dirty Dancing, Havana Nights” for the Loewe’s Theater in Georgetown, the Virginia State Ballroom Dance Sport Championship, The Russian New Years Ball, and the annual “Evening in Vienna” hosted by T.H.I.S. at the Meridian House. 

Besides teaching at the Washington Dance Institute’s events, he currently teaches Ballroom, Latin, Salsa & Argentine Tango classes for Joy of Motion Dance Center, as well as running “cardio dance” classes and “Mad Hot Ballroom” for kids at various prestigious health clubs, including the Regency Sport & Health Club, the McLean Racquet & Health Club, and the University Club of DC. 

David co-produced the ‘Summer Serenade Ball’, an evening of Viennese Waltz, in May of 2006, and the ‘Autumn Twilight Ball’ in October, 2006. 

Additionally, David has prepared numerous Washingtonian wedding couples for their first dance.
