Cheryl Gardner

Cheryl Gardner has been studying and practicing classical hatha yoga since 1983 and 
has personally experienced its ability to heal. Incorporating yoga postures, 
pranayama (breathing exercises), relaxation, and meditation into an integrated 
approach, she assists students in learning how to overcome physical limitations and 
challenges. Her teaching focuses on developing inner body awareness in order to 
work toward a balance between strength and flexibility. Ms. Gardner received her 
teaching certification through the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center in Nassau and has 
continued her training with senior instructors in a number of yoga traditions. She 
is director of the Meridian Yoga Studio in Silver Spring and is a member of the 
Mid-Atlantic Yoga Association.
