Billie Meyer
Billie
Meyer began practicing Pilates in Aspen, Colorado as a way of managing her own
chronic neck and shoulder issues. She quickly realized the benefit of the
Pilates work as an underlying tool for almost any physical endeavor. She
completed her teacher certification at the Boulder Pilates Center and has been
teaching for eight years.
Billie's focus in her teaching is to help her students feel energized from the
inside out and to move freely with strength emanating from the core muscles. She
has broad experience using Pilates to help injury/rehab students regain balance
and confidence in their bodies. She also thinks that “if you're not laughing,
you are not doing Pilates”. Her desire for deeper knowledge has led her
to continue her Pilates education in workshops with master teachers Julian
MacDonald, Cara Reeser, elder Mary Bowen, her mentors Amy Lange and Rachel
Taylor Seigel, Eric Franklin, and many others. Billie has a BFA from the
University of Colorado in Boulder and enjoys hiking and Zydeco dance.
