
Alexis Baden-Mayer
Alexis Baden-Mayer has been dancing for 20 years. She began her dance training with Virginia Britton, director of the Alexandria Ballet, and she trained at the Washington Ballet and the San Francisco Ballet during high school. She continued to dance at the College of William & Mary and Purchase College. During law school, she studied at the Merce Cunningham Studio on scholarship, and performed in several modern dance concerts in New York City in the works of Pat Catterson, Gabriele Kroos, Chard Gonzalez, Sari Nordman, and Stephan Koplowitz. Upon graduation, she returned to the D.C. area and joined the Alexandria Ballet where she performs in the "Nutcracker" as the Sugar Plum Fairy and in the "Easter Bunny's Apprentice" as the Cat. Ms. Baden-Mayer currently teaches at the Alexandria Ballet and at Joy of Motion Dance Center.
