Joy of Motion is reaching out to you for help.
Like
so many nonprofit businesses, the current economy has had a severe
adverse financial effect on Joy of Motion and the funding sources that
have contributed to our success in the past. While we successfully
balanced our budget last year, this is proving to be impossible this
year. We are facing a substantial financial shortfall for this
fiscal year. We have already taken serious cost-cutting measures
and made other very hard budget and staffing decisions to reduce
overhead and generate revenue.
But it's not enough. We are reaching out to you to help us cover a
sizable projected deficit for this year.
You rely on us for the community, the amazing teachers, and the joy
that dancing brings to you and your children. Now we need to rely
on you. Our goal is to raise over $100,000 by August 31, 2009, to
balance our budget and sustain Joy of Motion's curriculum and
operations.
