A slow-paced class that includes both floor and standing stretches. Expand your movement range while gaining confidence, balance and improved body alignment. 

Total Body Tune-Up
The Total Body Tune-Up class addresses issues essential to effortless dancing, including increasing technical proficiency, expanding movement range and eliminating or reducing chronic discomfort. Through easy-to-learn unique movement sequences, students release tension, improve body awareness and move more efficiently. Developed by Daniel Burkholder, Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner (cm), and award-winning choreographer and dancer, and based on the revolutionary Feldenkrais Method, these classes are gentle, yet highly effective. Some topics that will be covered include posture, hip rotation, balance, phrasing and overall movement coordination. The Total Body Tune- Up is a unique class for students, professional dancers, and anyone who wishes to move with efficiency, grace, and ease.

PILATES MAT*
Whether you want to tone your muscles, rehabilitate from an injury, or train for an athletic event, Pilates Mat will safely guide you in the right direction. The Pilates Method helps to lengthen and strengthen muscles while building a uniformly developed body. Pilates focuses on core strength—abdominals, gluteals, inner thighs—and practices moving from the “inside out.” It helps with posture, body alignment, breathing, control, balance, flow and strength. The mind works with the body to help realign movement patterns, and to work muscles properly and efficiently. Students gain a kinesthetic awareness of their own bodies so that they can integrate the ideas learned in class into their daily lives.
