WINTER 2018: AFRICAN DIASPORA
Take your training to the next level in Studio to Stage! A nine-week performance class ideal for Advanced Beginners and above, Studio to Stage culminates in a celebratory concert event at the Jack Guidone Theatre. Our Winter 2018 concert, “African Diaspora,” will celebrate the dances and heritage of the African diaspora through Afro-Cuban, Afro-Brazilian, West African, contemporary jazz, and tap dance styles.
This program is recommended for Advanced Beginning level students and above. Joy of Motion defines the Advanced Beginning level as students who are exercising and building upon a working knowledge. For students with a thorough working knowledge of the style. We recommend at least 1 year of prior training. This level appeals to many students and it is common to find a wide range of students attending this level. Please contact our helpful studio staff if you have any questions!
Rehearsals start Friday, January 12, and are held once a week until the performance on March 17th and 18th.
