The dance style taught by Bonita Cacho is the African-Caribbean dance idiom reflecting the Yoruba culture from the Garifuna people from Belize, Central America.  The style involves the essence of the indigenous African descendants who were granted settlement in British Honduras by Queen Victoria in 1797.
