Our 10th Anniversary concert was held January 7-8 at the Kreeger Auditorium in Rockville.  Read the review!

CROSSCURRENTS DANCE COMPANY began it's season with a fundraiser-performance.aptly titled "A Celebration of Renewal" at Temple Micah in NW Washington DC. We kicked off our tenth anniversary with an event which raised money for Micah House, a shelter for homeless and abused women in transition. It was a wonderful way to share what we do, our dancers, and our stories and to interact with an audience new to dance. Other performances have included the Maryland State Arts Council performance in Annapolis and a performance in Northern, VA celebrating dance in the metro area.

The new year exploded with our first ever concert at the Jewish
Community Center in Rockville. It is a wonderful venue for the company and great to perform in Montgomery County, Md. In honor of our 10 year anniversary, we brought back company favorites "Reunion" and "Grey
Zone." 'Reunion' featured high school dancers Vanessa Sandler and
Jennifer Swartz from Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School, and Katie
Nesmith from St. Andrews Episcopal School. Also noteworthy was the
performance of Helen Hayes's "Whirlpools" set on Youth Dance Ensemble Senior Company at Joy of Motion. Their skilled performance was favorably mentioned by Lisa Traiger of the Washington Post!

CrossCurrents Dance Company will be in concert at the Dance Place on May 13 and 14, 2006. New works on this program will be presented by Daniel Burkholder, Debra Kanter and Sarah Scott.
