At Joy of Motion Dance Center, we strive to provide the best dance experience for you and your children. We offer a well-rounded curriculum designed to expose students to the diverse world of dance. Our younger students explore the many physical, artistic, creative and cognitive skills inherent in learning dance. For older children and teens, specific technique classes teach the basics of ballet, jazz, tap, modern, hip hop, belly dance, ballroom, salsa, and flamenco to provide the solid background needed for the aspiring dancer or dance enthusiast.

Auditioning can be a stressful experience without the right tools. This workshop will help you prepare for and excel at the audition experience as you move forward with your dance. Topics will cover how to dress, warming up, audition attitude and etiquette, what to eat for maximum energy, what rejection really means, when the audition process actually begins, performance preparation, and more.

Soles of Steel is Joy of Motion Dance Center's youth tap company. Placement is by audition only. Company members work toward enhancing tap technique and vocabulary while performing in various venues as a community outreach company. Soles of Steel strives to take tap as a fun, entertaining, historical and therapeutic dance form into community nursing homes, hospitals, inner-city schools and other areas of need.  Please note, rehearsal times and requirements may change.
